About NYLIPA
NYLIPA traces its roots to the early 1950s, when Japanese and Japanese-American families in the New York area began gathering informally to share language and culture with their children.
Today, we serve over 150 student families through our weekend school, cultural events, and parent support network — entirely volunteer-run, guided by parents raising confident, bilingual, bicultural children.
